I want to make a facebook page. But I can't invite my t-friends to my "official" page, and I can't invite my old friends to a Meg page.
I hate that I don't have an answer for this.
Life's getting in my way tonight so you all get a break. :)

I thought about setting up a new facebook page myself...a new one for new friends that just know me as Jane...
ReplyDeleteI had two FB pages, one for John, and one for Jill. They existed separately for the last 18 months. I went full time as Jill 30 days ago, and last weekend I made one final post on John's page, telling all of John's friends about my transition. And then I tried to friend each of them as Jill. Some of the people on John's page were extended relatives, and some of them have friended Jill. But not all, yet. John had 19 friends, Jill has 155.
ReplyDeleteJill, we're on different paths but I like the way you did that, and I'm glad it worked for you!
ReplyDeleteSomeone should write a book of coming out success stories so we can all see that if you tell you won't die (or spontaneously combust, as someone on crossdressers.com suggested).
Admiration to all who have two facebook pages. I'm definitely not there yet.
