No TG Content

Really.  Just for today.  Nothing TransGendered, or ThanksGiving, really, either.

I don't buy into "let's stuff ourselves and mark the start of holiday shopping" day.  I'll be cooking for my family, which I enjoy but I'm not very good at.  The good news is, I can do it wearing a housedress and frilly apron, before I change into a nice dress for dinner.

Well, I can imagine I can.  And darn it, some TG content did slip in after all. :)

I do want to take today to thank all of you ~ I enjoy writing, and it's nice to have someone out there reading.  I'm energised by your comments and e-mails.

I have more friends now than in my previous fifty years all together, and I'm thankful.

Your are special, and beautiful, and I'll shut up now.

  1. Fifty years? Are you kidding again?

Thank YOU, Meg, I'm enjoying your posts everyday.
And what’s more, they are inspiring and encouraging me to make steps towards opening up.
Keep up the good works, sister!

Thank you for thanking us. However, it should really be us thanking you (are you still with me?).
I have recently been inspired to start a blog and find myself closer than at any time to coming out to my wife, largly due to you. You can blush now.

  5. Happy holidays, Meg, even if it's a working day up here in Canada. :)

Your blog is always one of the first things I read in the morning. You make one amazing, brave, beautiful girl, and I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say you are 100% appreciated.

    Hugs,
    Sally

  6. Yes we are reading, even when we don't comment, so thank you for your continued blog, you are very much appreciated. I am trying to blog myself, on different areas of my life, and am finding to very difficult to make regular posts, so well done, be encouraged, and keep 2Buggering on" as the great WC used to say

  7. Meg,
You had me going for a second about dressing and cooking.
In fact cooking while dressed has been my primary dressup activity with my wife that slowly started after we became empty nesters.
As it is we hardly ever have weekend days home with nothing to do but when the opportunity arises she has become quite accepting of me cooking up a storm after dressing up a storm.
My wife is a great cook but after doing it forever she is a bit tired of the same old thing.
I, in a dress and heels, am learning to cook. My wife loves veggies but hates the chopping, peeling, dicing. If I get to spend the day in a dress, hose and heels, I can cut and dice for hours. I have become the soup wife. I do a great chicken soup, good beef/barley, pasta fagiola that comes out different every time I try, several different types of bean soup, etc. I also make great meatballs, sausage and gravy (non-Italians call it sauce).
When I get dressed I tend to go all the way and my garb would be better suited for an office or evening out environment than slaving over the stove but I grab an apron and the dressing/cooking compromise seems to work great for my wife and I.
I cook in 'mass quantities' (for those old enough to remember the Coneheads). Everything I make can be frozen so we get quite a few meals out of a single dressup session.
Oops, this was supposed to be a non-TG post...Oh well...never mind...(may as weel throw in another SNL extra). All I wanted to do was to say hi and I ended up blathering away, as usual.
I hope you and all your loyal readers and commenters had a great Thanksgiving. We all have a lot to be thankful for.
    Pat
