Sunday Funnies: Time to Groan

My favourite pun of 2015 (so far) in the form of a new tv show:

By day, she's a district attorney putting bad guys in jail.
But at night, she's the queen of the music halls.
Coming this fall: the new hit drama, "Tara Raboom, D.A."!

You may have to read it out loud.

For more mainstream punning, see below.  Click or zoom to enjoy.

Love this one

Sadly, Foxtrot is Sunday only now.

The punmaster and proud of it

More Shoes, Glorious Shoes!

Today is 12-13-14.  Not only does Friday the 13th fall on a Saturday this month, it's the last sequential day of the 21st century.  Next up is 01-02-03, in 2103.

I have something planned, Bob

More shoes and a (repeat) bonus at the end.  Between Friends, In The Bleachers (surprise!), Rubes, Speed bump, Real Life Adventures, Sherman's Lagoon, and a repeat from Howland and Churchy.

Churchy's full name is Churchill LaFemme but everyone calls him Churchy, which is how you'd pronounce the French Cherchez.  Cherchez La Femme literally means "look for the woman" and comes from a French novel.  The reference is to the fact that when there is a crime, or irrational or out-of-character behaviour and one needs to find a reason, "look for the woman."

I just think it's cute that his last name is "the woman."

Parker and Hart's Wizard of Id started it.  Who can argue with a crowd (albeit a very small crowd)

Your wish, fulfilled by Rina Piccolo, Tim Rickard, Dana Summers, Stephan Pastis, Leigh Rubin, and Vic Lee.

Sunday Funnies ~ Rubes

This week's poll: would you meet someone who only knows you as a female, when you are in drab?  For instance, a t-friend you met as part of a group, or the woman who does your mani-pedi.  Assume they know you're trans.  The choices are:
* yes, if s/he's trans too
* yes, if  s/he's a civilian only
* unqualified yes
* no

This one's important.

Leigh Rubin's Rubes is a fun strip I've featured before.  Here are nearly a dozen to brighten up your Sunday morning.

Two Death cartoons?  But they both work well.
