Can't... Breathe...

So I picked up the smaller of the two corsets at the Renaissance Faire.  I'm optimistic.  I think I'll either be able to drop a few pounds or get used to the smaller waist.  The larger one was tight, the smaller one was tight! but the saleslady seemed to think the smaller one could grow or shrink as needed, with my size (large) and shape (none).

The saleslady also said that the corsets fit men and women differently because of the shape of the torso and ribs.  I hadn't thought about that.  Pat commented that the corsets she bought just Do Not Work, and the fact that women are more "compressible" might be why.

Tomorrow, I'll be writing about my makeover from last weekend.

FIVE!

  1. Meg: You look cute as a button in the photo. IMHO, the best photo of you that I recall. Some Corsets are well suited for men. If the narrow compression zone sits comforably at your natural waist before you pull it in, then it shopuld start smooshing and squishing all your innards pro;erly as you tighten it. Again, not too fast. Your bodt, esp. your inner organs, need time to change shape and placement. Also, if you haven't figured it out, you have work the laces from top to center and from bottom to center -- gradually.

    Good luck - YMMVary.

  2. The biggest problem with all of my corsets is that they lace up in back, meaning you either HAVE to have help or be a contortionist
