I went with my son to see Stephan Pastis at a book signing a few weeks ago. Stephan gave a good talk about becoming a cartoonist, showed a lot of his classic comics on the Big Screen next to him and was well-received by a fairly large crowd.
My son brought a few books for him to sign and it was a good thing ~ the bookstore was completely sold out of
all of his books when we arrived.
He has a unique signature:
He asked each person what character he wanted. My son asked for the Croc, Rat, the Guard Duck, and, of course, Pig.
And now, just a few weeks later, Pastis added a new character:
